The best way to get connected to each other and into community life at NLCC is to join and participate in a small group.
There are many different types of small groups at NLCC including:
LIFE GROUPS These are the focus of our small group ministry. They are small groups of 6 to 15 people who meet weekly for fellowship, study, care and service in a home setting. We have groups for all ages. Some are age specific, such as young marrieds, while others are inter-generational.
SUPPORT GROUPS These are small groups that focus on providing teaching and support for people. We offer Divorce Care for separated and divorced people; Divorce Care 4 Kids (DC4K) for the children of those attending Divorce Care; Parenting small groups for parents of small children and teens; and others as the needs arise. A Marriage Course to help strengthen marriages is held in the Fall and Winter.
SERVING GROUPS These are small groups that join together to serve others. There are small groups that feed the homeless and partner with Nightshift Ministries in Surrey on a regular schedule. There are Set-Up Groups who assist ministries by providing set-up and take-down services for special or regular ministry events.
BIBLE STUDY GROUPS There are a series of Bible Studies held on Tuesday nights for women specifically. Also a Precept Bible Study Course is also offered on Tuesday nights for men and women in the Upper Room. Life-journalling groups meet together regularly to learn how to life journal and read the Scriptures daily.
