NLCC is excited to live out our value of being “A Church on our Knees”! Will you join us? We are going to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as we spend the week leading up to Easter, also known as "Holy Week", in prayer together..

The purpose of having a week of prayer is to help us:

  • Encounter God through prayer.
  • Deepen personal faith.
  • Foster community at NLCC as the 4 campuses pray for each other.
  • Encourage us to pray for our community, our nation and our global neighbours.

To make this happen, we invite individuals, couples, or small groups to sign up for a 1-hour time slot and pray at home, in one of our prayer rooms at Walnut Grove, Aldergrove, or Willowbrook, or anywhere you have space and feel comfortable praying. The prayer room at Walnut Grove will be set up with creative elements such as art supplies, journals, maps, and prayer boards to help us connect with God in various ways while we pray.

Even if you don't sign up for a specific slot, choose an hour during Holy Week and pray alongside our church family! For some resources, outlines, and suggestions, check out our Prayer Week Resource document when it is available (check back soon!).

Let’s join God’s people around the world as we live out the words of Ephesians 6:18:

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
