Kristin Brown

New Elder Candidate

I am a wife, mother of three, and self-employed dietitian.  I love spending time with family, friends, and food!  In my free time, I enjoy running, swimming, biking, hiking, music, and reading.

I chose to follow the Lord at the age of 4 and have spent my life getting to know Him more and more.  I grew up in a Christian family in Abbotsford.  My faith grew through my time at a Christian high school, my university years at UBC, and as I have raised my family in Walnut Grove.

We started attending NLCC in 2003, with 5 years spent at Jericho Ridge in the middle of that.  I have served in various capacities at NLCC as a life group host and leader with my husband, in Children’s Ministry, and helping with different projects and catalyst events.  Currently, we lead a life group, I am on the Discernment Committee, and I volunteer with Guest Services at the Info Desk.

Being an elder is an honour and privilege to be trusted with the care and guidance of the church family.  I am excited to connect with more people and to be a part of what God is doing in and through them.  I love the way NLCC welcomes and inspires people to learn about Jesus, grow in their apprenticeship to Him, and share the love of Christ with those around them.

Jon Mair

Elder Reaffirmation

My wife Renee and I have attended North Langley since 2016 with our two children Joel and Anna. We were married in 2011. We have both been involved with various church ministries since we started attending the church. As a family we enjoy camping, swimming, watching movies, playing games and having fun with family and friends. I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time outdoors.

Since 2017, I have worked at Focus on the Family Canada as the Director of Donor Relations and before that I worked at North Langley as the Director of Administration. My education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Divinity.

I grew up in a Christian home and Jesus has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in Ontario and moved to BC in 2005. I previously served as an elder at Jericho Ridge Community Church and love serving the growing NLCC community as an elder.
