Revelation 3:14-22

In this sermon we explore Jesus's message to the church of Laodicea, and we come to see that their "lukewarm" deeds — like the chemically tainted, tepid water that arrived in their city — were useless and revolting to Jesus because their wealth had made them spiritually self-sufficient and neglectful of the poor. We are challenged to open the door to Jesus, trusting that His presence will transform our self-centered hearts into hearts of generous, practical love for the hurting and marginalized around us.
