Hi there, Church family!

Many of you are probably hearing about this new COVID restrictions from Dr. Henry as of this afternoon due to the rising cases in the Lower Mainland. I just wanted to let you know that Dr. Henry did specifically address the question of how these new restrictions apply to churches in the Q & A news conference following the announcement. Here is her response:

Religious centres are not considered “social gatherings” and remain unaffected, so long as they stick to the 50 person limit, Henry said.
(see BC Global News)

Additionally, Dr. Henry commended churches for doing a good job of following COVID protocol and stated that churches have not been places of outbreak. So, we will continue to offer safe, on-site gatherings for those who would like to attend, and all NLCC midweek in-person ministries, including any onsite Life Groups or Home Churches, will be able to meet with strict COVID protocol in place. Of course, the increased restrictions will continue to limit all in-person Life Groups and Home Churches in home settings.

Thanks for your prayers for NLCC in these changing times!
