Grad Update & Youth Sunday

YOUTH SUNDAY - July 19

Grads and G12 leaders are invited to come to be in the NLCC worship centre for the live stream at 9:30 am.  

Some grads and students will be invited to lead in the service in different capacities.  Kevin will be preaching, the youth band will be involved in leading worship, and the grad slideshow will be a shown in the service.  

Following the service, grads and G12 leaders are invited to get their own lunch and bring it to the Marpole Picnic shelter at Derby Reach.  We'll have lunch together and hang out...in person!  Sadly, inviting parents would make this a gathering of over 50 people, so only grads and G12 leaders are invited.  However, parents walking by and stopping to say hi for a few minutes is totally fine! 

GRADS MOVING UP TO YOUNG ADULTS

Grade 12's are invited and encouraged to participate in both HSY and YA over summer.  In September we have to kick you out of HSY, but in summer, you should check out both HSY and YA events!  Check out the Young Adults website here.  As well, join the Facebook group NLCC Young Adults and follow the YA Instagram @nlccya

GRAD SLIDES SHOW

If you haven’t sent 6-8 pictures to Kevin for the Grad slideshow, please email kevins@nlcc.ca or share through google photos to kevineschultz78@gmail.com. We're looking for a baby picture, their grad photo and a handful from the different stages in the middle.  The deadline to get pictures included in the slideshow is June 19.  

YOUTH BANQUET

Each year we honour and celebrate grads as part of our year end HSY youth banquet.  We're exploring options on how best to do this for the 2020 grad class, but we have no specific plans yet.  The timeline on the <50 gatherings makes it tricky.  We're considering a reunion of sorts over the Christmas break.
