Read our Breakaway blog for the latest update on changes for Fall 2021.

At NLCC we are all about growing together as apprentices of Jesus. Women can connect in a variety of ways regardless of life stage through various opportunities to support each other along the journey as we connect with the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

We know that we are a diverse group of women with different stories. We are each so unique: sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, married, single, widowed, in careers, parenting full time at home, adopting/fostering children, caring for an aging parent, grieving the loss of a loved one, mentoring, struggling, creating, loving. So whether you resonate with one of those things, or if none of them even come close to describing you, we hope you’ll join the journey to be apprentices of Jesus!

Here are some pathways to Apprenticeship:

Stay & Play

All moms are invited to join us with their little ones on Wednesday mornings (starting SEPT 22) in the Worship Center for Stay and Play. Stay and Play is a free drop-in playgroup for moms and kids ages 0-5. Join us each week for free coffee and community with other moms while the little ones play.

Stay up to date in the case of cancellations or room changes at our Facebook Group.

Life Groups

Attend or start a daytime or evening Life Group with others. All-women Life Groups are encouraged! Start by attending a Life Together course.

Apprentice Groups

These groups of 3-4 women form organically through existing friendships or relationships, to go deeper through prayer, confession, scripture, and sharing. We have some amazing Apprentice Group Resources for you to start your women's group right away.

Quilting Group

Create quilts for Mennonite Central Commitee's Outreach Program. This is a fantastic and hands on way to serve your community and enjoy fellowshipping and quilting with other women. Every quilt made is sent for world relief. This is a great opportunity to help others in our hurting world. There will be all sorts of jobs so you don’t have to be a quilting expert. Check the calendar for when our quilting group meets.

Seasoned Singles

Do you find yourself single in the later years of life? You are not alone! Meet with other women for friendship and support. Contact Betty Fast for more details!

Precepts Bible Study (on hold)

This study will transform the way you read the Scriptures! This Bible Study features the Inductive Bible Study Method so you can discover truth for yourself. If you're not familiar with this method, you will learn it at this study! Our Precepts Bible teachers are taking a break for Fall 2021. If you are interested in being trained to teach the inductive bible study method, please contact Christy Bennik.

Women's Groups

Would you like to facilitate a bible study, book club, or activity group? Are you able to open your home or organize a time to meet at the church or out in the community? We'd love to resource you to start something new! Contact janett@nlcc.ca
