Revelation 2:1-7; Matthew 22:37-40

In this message we hear Jesus reveal his heart to the church in Ephesus, a strong and faithful community commended for hard work, perseverance, and commitment to truth, yet lovingly confronted for having lost their first love. The message reminds us that faithful activity, sound doctrine, and endurance mean little if love for God and love for others has grown cold, because love is the very heart of the gospel. We are called to repent, rekindle our love, and trust that our deepest and closest years of following Jesus are not behind us but still ahead, as he invites us back into life, joy, and intimacy with him.
